Searching for Purpose? What the Qur'an Says About Why You're Here

Ayazon ยท Quranic Reflections

At some point, the question surfaces. Not always loudly โ€” sometimes as a dull sense that something is missing, that the life you are living does not quite fit.

"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me."Adh-Dhariyat 51:56

The word translated as "worship" โ€” ibadah โ€” is far wider than prayer and fasting. It encompasses every act done with awareness of Allah. Your work can be ibadah. The way you treat people. Raising children, seeking knowledge, creating, serving โ€” all of it, when oriented toward Allah, becomes the answer.

Purpose is not something you discover once. It is something you practice daily. The question is not "what is my one great calling" but "am I living oriented toward Him."

You are placed where you are for reasons you may not yet see.

If you are searching for meaning right now, let the Qur'an speak into your specific question.
